Sandy High School was originally built in 1934 and has been remodeled 7 times to accommodate 1,200 students. The student body now averages nearly 1,450 students.
So how bad is it?
Sandy High School has been around as long as most folks can remember. A short history of the construction from 1922 to 2008 is presented below. A special thanks to the Sandy Historical Society for providing the historical photographs.
In late 2006, the Oregon Trail School District Board of Directors commissioned a task force comprised of board members and community representatives to examine the facilities at Sandy High School and review the need for a new high school. The Facility Task Force Report presented its findings to the Board in January 2007.
